City rivals clash

Below, Whiteville’s Brittany Batten drives a header. The two squads played to a 1-1 deadlock with Scott scoring the Waccamaw Academy goal and Mary Kindschuh scoring the Whiteville goal. Whiteville will resume its Waccamaw/Southeastern 1A-2A Conference schedule today when it plays host to North Brunswick at 6 p.m. Waccamaw Academy will travel to play Flora Macdonald on Tuesday. The Whiteville and Waccamaw Academy baseball teams will square off Tuesday night at 7 at Legion Stadium.
