Lady Stallions
overcome SBHS

BOILING SPRING LAKES - A gutty pitching performance by Ashley Hardee and a two-run double by Yolanda McCoy were big factors for the South Columbus High School softball team it claimed its first Waccamaw 1A-2A Conference victory of the season with a 3-1 decision over host South Brunswick.

Hardee yielded five hits while striking out seven as the Lady Stallions improve to 1-3 in conference play.

Courtney Long and Kelly Strickland each had two hits for Coach Brett Burroughs’ SCHS squad. Strickland had a double.
