BROOKLYN, N.Y. Ruby Gore Bellamy, 62, formerly of Chadbourn died Thursday, Aug. 3, 2006 at a Brooklyn hospital.
Graveside services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 12 at the Belvue Cemetery in Chadbourn with the Rev. J.M. Dunham officiating. D&A Funeral Home of Chadbourn is handling the arrangements.
Survivors include her husband, Willie Ralph Bellamy; two daughters, Carmen Melody Gore and Michelle Gore Grant, both of Brooklyn, N.Y.; two sisters, Louise Gore Franklen of Brooklyn, N.Y., and Margaret Gore Dunham of Fayetteville; and three grandchildren.

TABOR CITY Robert “Jake” Gore, 76, died Sunday, Aug. 6, 2006 in Loris Healthcare. He was born in Columbus County, the son of the late Joshua and Janie Fipps Gore.
Graveside services were held Tuesday, Aug. 8 at Myrtle Green Cemetery, conducted by Wilbur Fipps. Inman Funeral Home of Tabor City handled the arrangements.
He is survived by two daughters, Patricia Gail Floyd of Loris, S.C.; Carol Buffkin of North Myrtle Beach, S.C.; a son, Frank “Bubby” Weaver of Wilmington; a sister, Ve Lou Turbeville of Hampton, Va.; and three grandchildren.
JAMES CURTIS ‘J.C.’ NEALEY
TABOR CITY James Curtis “J.C.” Nealey, 71, died Sunday, Aug. 6, 2006 at his residence. He was born in Columbus County, the son of the late Duckery Curtis Nealey. He was preceded in death by his wife, Frances Hardee Nealey; and a sister, Margaret Nealey and a grandson, Allen McPherson.
Final rites were held Wednesday, Aug. 9 at 10 a.m. at the Inman Chapel, conducted by the Rev. Wayne Murray, with interment following in the McPherson Cemetery, Chadbourn. Inman Funeral Home of Tabor City handled the arrangements.
He is survived by three daughters, Julia Lovett of Tabor City, Kelly McPherson of Chadbourn, and Rachel Sanderson of Loris, S.C.; two brothers, Norman Nealey of Thomasville, and Joseph Nealey of Virginia; two stepbrothers, a stepsister, four grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren.
INMAN, S.C. Ada Turner Reaves, 75, formerly of Nakina, died Monday, July 31, 2006 at her home. Born on Aug. 22, 1930 in Mt. Olive, S.C., she was the daughter of the late Ansel Levi and Lucy Marlow Turner. She was a member of the United Christian Church of Greer, S.C.
Graveside services were held on Thursday, Aug. 3 at Greenlawn Memorial Gardens conducted by Pastor Pete Campbell and Albert Smith. Floyd’s Greenlawn Funeral Home handled the arrangements.
Survivors include her husband of 60 years, James Guy Reaves Sr.; three sons, James Guy Reaves Jr. of Conroe, Texas, David J. Reaves of Jesup, Ga., and Donald W. Reaves Sr. of Odom, Ga.; two daughters, Sara R. Feagin of Mobile, Ala., and Dixie A. Reaves of Inman, S.C.; two sisters, Lois Griffin of Whiteville, and Doris Benton of Ash; nine grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren.
CERRO GORDO Nolan Moore, 66, formerly of Fair Bluff, died Thursday, Aug. 3, 2006 at Columbus Regional Healthcare.
Final rites will be held at 3 p.m. Friday, Aug. 11 at Butler Branch Missionary Baptist Church in Fair Bluff with the Reverends Ronald Alford, Kelvin Bellamy, and Vernelle Gibbs officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. S&L Funeral Home of Fair Bluff is handling the arrangements.
Survivors include his wife, Gussie Lee Jones Moore of the home; five daughters, Norine Marie Moore and Donnie Moore Jones, both of Cerro Gordo, Castell Dragan of East Point, Ga., Noretha B. Visitation will be held from 1-7 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 10 at the funeral home.

Survivors include his wife, Vaccarol Reaves; three children, Kharia, Heath Jr., and Trinity Reaves; parents, Jimmy and Mamie Reaves; a sister, Cynthia Curby; two brothers, John Reaves, and Stephon Reaves.
BLADENBORO Paul Stephen DiCicco, 49, died Monday, Aug. 7, 2006 at his residence.

RIEGELWOOD Hattie Bowen, 74, of the East Arcadia community, died Tuesday, Aug. 8, 2006 at Sunbridge Care & Rehab. of Elizabethtown. She was a homemaker.

She is survived by a daughter, Sherry Bowen of Riegelwood; and a sister, Betty Boney of Wallace.

CHADBOURN Bryan “B” Davis, 40, died Friday, Aug. 4, 2006 in Charleston, S.C. He was a construction worker.
Final rites will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 12 at The Shephard House Church on Wilson Street in Chadbourn with the Bishop Larry Williamson officiating. Burial will follow in Belvue Cemetery. Smith Funeral Home of Whiteville is handling the arrangements.

WHITEVILLE Washington Thomas Bradley Jr., 68, died Tuesday, Aug. 8, 2006 at Columbus Regional Healthcare. He was a veteran of the United States Army and a bus driver.
Final rites will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 12 at Mt. Olive Missionary Baptist Church by the Rev. Algernon McKenzie. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Peoples Funeral Home of Whiteville is handling the arrangements.
