Paige McCallum WHS boys fall 63-61 ST. PAULS For the second time in as many nights, Whiteville High junior forward Paige McCallum surpassed the 30-point mark in leading the unbeaten Lady Wolfpack Wednesday to a 67-41 victory over the host St. Pauls Lady Bulldogs. In the boys game, St. Pauls put up a strong fourth-quarter rally to pull out a 63-61 win. McCallum scored 31 points, including three 3-point goals, for the WHS girls, who stormed to a 34-8 halftime lead. McCallum had scored 35 points in the Lady Wolfpack’s Monday night win over West Columbus. Karmen Jordan added 12 points, including a pair of 3-pointers, for Whiteville, which put its season record a 4-0. For St. Pauls, Jasmine Williams had 15 points Alisa Allsbrook scored 11. In the boys game, Whiteville and St. Pauls played to a 28-all deadlock at halftime. Whiteville scored 25 points in the fourth quarter for a 53-47 lead. But St. Pauls rallied in the final eight minutes, outscoring the Wolfpack 16-8 to pull out the two-point win. The result left both teams with 1-3 records. Nur Abdullah scored a game-high 18 points for Whiteville, followed by Ramel Godfrey and Alex Royal with 12 points each. Sprandon Mahoney tallied 11 points, including a pair of 3-point shots. Davishaio Shaw scored 16 points to pace St. Pauls, followed by William McRae and Bernard Williams with 10 each. Whiteville will play open Waccamaw Conference play Tuesday when it entertains East Columbus. On Wednesday, the Wolfpack will to take on East Bladen. GIRLS GAME
