The Whiteville High girls and boys teams and East Columbus girls team opened sectional play of the 2006 state basketball playoffs on Wednesday night. The WHS girls and boys teams had home games with Fairmont and Bunn respectively, and the ECHS girls took on Wallace-Rose Hill at Kenansville.
