West Columbus sophomore guard Courtney Hayes leads a Viking fast break in Friday night’s Southeastern 1A-2A Conference basketball game with South Robeson at the WCHS gym. Hayes was one of five players to score in double figures as Coach Michael Powell’s Vikings ran to an 86-49 victory over the Mustangs. West Columbus heads into the final week of regular-season play with a 16-3 record, including a 7-3 record in conference play. The Vikings, who have three home games this week, are riding a four-game winning streak.
