Rams drop doubleheader
to North Carolina Wesleyan

ROCKY MOUNT – The Southeastern Community College baseball team dropped a pair of one-run games in Monday’s season-opening doubleheader with North Carolina Wesleyan Thursday.

N.C. Wesleyan brought across the deciding run in the bottom of the seventh to pull out the first game 5-4 and held off a final inning rally by SCC in the second game to come away with a 7-6 win.

Southeastern had a total of 19 hits for the day while N.C. Wesleyan had 15.

SCC’s Justin Batchelor went 4-for-5 in the first game and Andrew Moore went 3-for-4 in the second game.

SCC is playing host to N.C. Wesleyan today in a noon doubleheader.
