Warriors fall at Homecoming

It was a tough night of Homecoming basketball for Waccamaw Academy Warriors as they dropped a pair of lopsided losses to Trinity Christian of Fayetteville Friday night.

Trinity Christian won the boys game 89-29 and took the girls contest by a 61-10 score.

During homecoming festivities, senior Kendra Bridgers was crowned 2006 Waccamaw Academy Homecoming Queen.

Trinity Christian rolled up 31 second-quarter points to take complete command of the boys game as it led 48-17 at halftime. Anthony Harris scored 22 points for Trinity Christian. Warren Fisher led Waccamaw Academy scorers with nine points.

In the girls game, Trinity Christian led 35-3 at the half. Janee Davis scored 14 points to lead TCA and Caroline Scott had seven for Waccamaw Academy.
