The South Columbus All-Stars took a runner-up finish in the 2006 North Carolina Dixie Darlings (ages 7-8) Softball Tournament last week at Vale. The South Columbus squad suffered a one-run loss to Bunn in the championship game. The team had advanced to state tournament play by winning the District 9 Darlings tournament at Burgaw.
