Participants in the fourth annual Chris Wilcox Basketball Camp go through agility drills at Tuesday morning’s session at the Whiteville High School gym. This year’s Wilcox camp has drawn more than 175 participants. Courts at WHS, Central Middle School and the Whiteville Recreation Center are being utilized as campers are given daily instruction and compete in three games each day. The camp opened Monday and will run through Thursday. Chris Wilcox, the former Whiteville High star who went on to help lead the University of Maryland to the 2002 NCAA championship and now plays for the Seattle SuperSonics of the NBA, has brought his camp to Whiteville after each of his four years in professional basketball.
