Lady Stallions fall to WB
in 8th for first softball loss

VINEGAR HILL – The South Columbus Lady Stallions came within one out and one strike of gaining their fifth straight win of the season Friday night.

However, the visiting West Brunswick Lady Trojans tallied two runs in the top of the seventh inning to tie the score and then tallied five runs in the top of the eighth inning to come away with a 12-7 non-conference softball victory.

“We had our chances,” said SCHS coach Brett Burroughs. “West Brunswick has a strong, experienced team and they did what they had to in the end.

“Hopefully this is a learning experience for us in getting ready for our conference games,” Burroughs added.

The Lady Stallions now have a 4-1 record.
