Lady Pack wins 4th straight Kim Hathaway pitched a no-hitter Friday as the Whiteville High softball team took its fourth straight victory with an 11-0 six-inning decision over visiting West Columbus. The Whiteville girls now have 4-3 record and they will open Waccamaw Conference play on Tuesday against defending conference co-champion East Columbus Tuesday at Lake Waccamaw. On Wednesday night, Coach Dudley Revels’ Lady Wolfpack defeated the visiting Clinton Lady Dark Horses 8-6 behind a three-run homer by catcher Olivia Williams. Amanda Pope was the winning pitcher while Hathaway picked up the save. Samantha Smith had a triple and single while Pope, Megan Storms, Nicole Storms. Shea Covington and Bethany Thurston also had hits. |
