High-leaping West Columbus outfielder Devon Brown celebrates with teammates after crossing homeplate with the winning run in the bottom of the seventh inning on a hit by John David White in the Vikings’ a 6-5 victory over St. Pauls for the Southeastern 1A-2A Conference baseball championship Tuesday night. Brown had three hits for the game, including a lead-off home run. Coach Ricky Young’s West Columbus squad, now 10-1 in conference play and 21-2 for the season, is scheduled to close out regular-season play tonight at 7 with a home game against West Bladen.
