Golfers from South Columbus, Whiteville and East Columbus high schools are today participating in East Regional Tournament action.

South Columbus, the runnerup team finisher in the Waccamaw Conference, and four members of the Whiteville High squad are competing in the 2A East Regional while East Columbus has a team entry in the 1A East Regional at Ayden.

South Columbus team members are Mike Hewitt, Mark Alan Wright, W.T. Edwards, John Paul Rogers, John Jones and Dylan Newman.

Whiteville High players qualifying individually for 2A regional play are Josh Kramer, Donald Viets, Brent Coleman and David Hodgson.

East Columbus team members in the 1A regional are Matt Robinson, Sean Merrick, Chris Manning, Justin Wayne, Pete Peterson, and Robert Sowers.
