RIEGELWOOD --Wilton O. Justice, 84, died at home on Thursday, Oct. 12, 2006. He was born March 18, 1922 the son of the late Wiley and Dorcas Justice in Rowland.
Justice was a Navy Veteran who served in World War II and a member of Wesley United Methodist Church Riegelwood.
Final rites were held Monday, Oct. 16, at Wesley United Methodist Church Riegelwood. Interment Weyman Cemetery. Coble Ward-Smith Funeral and Cremation Service, Oleander Chapel of Wilmington handled the arrangements.
He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Lillian Rodgers Justice, of the home; three sons Earl Justice (Judy) of Beaufort, S.C., Wiley Justice (Kathy) and Sonny (Patsy) Justice, all of Riegelwood, seven grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren and two great great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to ADR Rescue Squad, Community Home Care and Hospice or Wesley United Methodist Church.
JOSEPH BULLOCK
WHITEVILLE Joseph Bullock, 85, died Tuesday, Oct. 10, 2006, at Columbus Regional Healthcare.
Bullock was a retired veteran of the United States Army and Navy and was a hospital janitor.
Final rites will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 17 at Butler Branch Missionary Baptist Church in Fair Bluff by the Rev. Thomas Nelson. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Peoples Funeral Home of Whiteville is handling the arrangements.
Survivors include his wife, Betty Bullock of Pensacola, Fla.; a daughter, Betty Joan Bullock of New York, N.Y.; five sons, Marvin Bullock and Douglas Bullock of Pensacola, Fla., Alvin Bullock of Waco, Texas, Reginal Bullock of Oakland, Calif., and Anthony Bullock of Atlanta, Ga.; and a sister, Lizzie Gerald of Fayetteville.
Viewing will be at the funeral home on Monday, Oct. 16 from noon until 8 p.m. and Tuesday from 9 a.m. until noon. Viewing will be at the church Tuesday from 1 until 2 p.m., and there will be no viewing after the service.

CLARKTON Beulah F. Blanks, 73, died Friday, Oct. 13, 2006 at Bladen County Hospital, Elizabethtown.

LETHA BAREFOOT POPE
HALLSBORO Letha Barefoot Pope, 88, died Thursday, Oct. 12, 2006 at Columbus Regional Healthcare, Whiteville. Pope was the daughter of the late Clarence Barefoot and Nettie Clemmons Barefoot. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ollen Pope; five brothers, and four sisters.
Final rites were held Sunday, Oct. 15 at Hallsboro Baptist Church with the Rev. Ed Vogt officiating. Burial followed in the Lake Waccamaw Cemetery. McKenzie Mortuary handled the arrangements.
Survivors include a son, William Donald Pope and wife, Velma of Riegelwood; two sisters, Helen Pope of Hallsboro, and Margie Lanehart of Clarkton; one brother, Howard Barefoot of Port Clinton, Ohio; a granddaughter, Tanya Elizabeth and husband Derek Rawls of Atlanta, Ga.; several nieces and nephews.
Active pallbearers were Derek Rawls, Virgil Barefoot, Marion Pope, Mike Pope, Thomas Earl Ward, and Junior Dew.

BOLTON Erma Marie Barber Wagner, 85, died Thursday, Oct. 12, 2006, at her residence. She was the daughter of the late Ralph Barber and Janet Muir Barber.

TABOR CITY Grace Fowler Ward, 89, died Saturday, Oct. 14, 2006, in Columbus Regional Healthcare. She is the daughter of the Elihue and Molcie Cox Fowler, and the widow of Willie C. Ward.

TABOR CITY Clara Belle Watts Herring, 81, died Thursday, Oct. 12, 2006 at Columbus Regional Healthcare. She was the daughter of the late Nummer Watts and Fronnie Ransom Watts, and the widow of Gurney Herring. She was a homemaker.
Final rites were held Saturday, Oct. 14 at Gapway Baptist Church by the Rev. Earl Nobles. Inman Funeral Home of Tabor City handled the arrangements.

BLADENBORO Vertis O’Neal Duncan, 71, died Thursday, Oct. 12, 2006, at New Hanover Regional Medical Center, Wilmington. He was predeceased by mother, Mary Jude Duncan and father, Curtis Duncan.
Duncan worked for the Merita Bread Company for 44 years and retired in 1998.

COUNCIL Glen “Bojo” Graham, 74, died Wednesday, Oct. 11, 2006, at New Hanover Regional Medical Center, Wilmington.
He was predeceased by a son, Milton Graham; two brothers, Worthly Graham and Dick Graham; and two sisters, Vinetta Andrews High and Esther King.
