City rivalry

Coach Mike Buckpitt’s Whiteville squad won 7-0 to put its season record at 10-5-1. The loss dropped Coach Dennis Williamson’s Waccamaw Academy team to 4-9. The Wolfpack will meet the Warriors again this Friday night at Whiteville’s Legion Stadium. This is the second straight year that the Friday Wolfpack-Warrior matchup will fall on Whiteville High’s football open date.
