Visiting South Robeson claimed an 8-4 high-school baseball victory over Waccamaw Academy on Monday.

Jason Taylor and Jimmie Davis each had two hits. Taylor and Sterling Graham had doubles for the Warriors, whose season record now stands at 4-8.

Taylor was the losing pitcher for the Warriors and Kyle Hufham pitched in relief.

South Robeson, a member of the Southeastern 1A-2A Conference, scored five runs in the first inning and three in the second.

Coach Winfred Johnson’s Waccamaw Academy squad will have its next game on April 10 when it plays host to Southeastern Independent Conference rival Trinity Christian in a 1 p.m., game.
