Whiteville High School softball player Nicole Storms fouls off a pitch in the Lady Wolfpack’s Tuesday night Waccamaw 1A-2A Conference home game with Pender. The defending state 1A champion Pender squad downed the Lady Wolfpack 18-0 to remain unbeaten in conference play. Whiteville entertained South Columbus on Wednesday and will conclude its regular-season schedule next week with conference games at Trask and North Brunswick.
