| Pack blitzes Trask 105-86 ROCKY POINT The Whiteville Wolfpack boys basketball team appeared to have unpacked its running shoes Tuesday night as it came away with a 105-86 victory over the host Trask Titans. Aaron Clark led the big win with 29 points, followed by Nur Abdullah with 26. Coach Tyrone Frink’s Wolfpack connected on 46 field goals Whiteville, which is trying to survive its toughest season in more than 25 years, put its Waccamaw Conference at 3-7 and season record at 5-13. Also scoring in double figures for the Wolfpack were Justin Livingston with 17 and Sprandon Mahoney and Ramel Godfrey with 14 each. Clark had three 3-point baskets and Mahoney had two. Clark also had seven assists and Livingston came up with six steals. The Wolfpack avenged an earlier loss to the Titans by running to a 56-47 halftime lead. London led Trask scorers with 23 points, followed by Hill with 22. The loss dropped Trask’s conference record to 1-9. The Whiteville girls team moved to within a win of clinching the Waccamaw Conference championship with a 58-35 win over the Lady Titans. Whiteville led 54-21 after three quarters as it improved to 9-1 in the conference and 18-2 for the season. Junior Paige McCallum once again led the scoring with 32 points, including 20 in the first half. She connected on six 3-point shots. Sarah Gore scored nine points for Coach Dudley Revels’ Lady Wolfpack. Whiteville will have its next outing on Tuesday when it travels to Leland to take on North Brunswick. GIRLS GAME
