Wilcox watch

Chris Wilcox

Although he had an off-night shooting, former Whiteville High basketball star Chris Wilcox still played a big role in helping pace the Seattle SuperSonics to a 99-72 victory Friday night over the visiting Milwaukee Bucks. The 6-foot-10 Wilcox managed only six points (including 2 of 9 shooting from the floor), but grabbed 11 rebounds as the Sonics won their third straight game and put thier season record at 17-25. Seattle now has a homecourt record of 12-9 and will play host to the Denver Nuggets on Tuesday. Wilcox, who helped carry the Maryland Terrapins to the 2002 NCAA championship, has started 41 of 42 games for the Sonics this season.
