LELAND – Senior guard Jerry Moore scored 16 points and dished out 15 assists Tuesday night in helping pace Waccamaw 1A-2A Conference leader East Columbus to a 74-57 basketball victory over host North Brunswick.

Center Jermaine Waddell had 19 points and 18 rebounds while B.J. Patrick scored a game-high 20 points for the Gators, who registered their 21st straight win against Waccamaw Conference opposition dating back to last season.

The Gators now have a 7-0 record in Waccamaw Conference play and a 16-3 overall record.

Coach Clarence Ganus’ Gators held a 31-27 halftime lead and took charge in the third quarter by outscoring the Scorpions 25-12.
