Chris Wilcox

Still looking for their first win in 2007, the Seattle Super Sonics dropped NBA losses to the New York Knicks on Friday and the Golden State Warriors on Saturday despite some good performances by former Whiteville High All-State Chris Wilcox. In Friday’s 111-93 loss to New York in Seattle, Wilcox tallied 13 points and had six rebounds. In Saturday’s 108-84 loss to Golden State in Oakland, the 6-foot-10, 235-pound Wilcox tallied 22 points and pulled down seven rebounds, He connected on 8-of-13 shots from the field and 6-of-7 from the foul line as the Sonics suffered their fourth straight loss since defeating the Boston Celtics on Dec. 31. Their season record now stands at 13-23 with Wilcox making starts in all but one game.

The Sonics will travel to play the Phoenix Suns on Tuesday.
