The Whiteville Post 137 American Legion baseball team dropped a 13-3 home game to the Hope Mills Boosters Tuesday night at Legion Stadium. The game was halted after seven innings by the 10-run rule.

The game was originally set for Hope Mills but was moved to Whiteville when a conflict arose on the use of the South View High School baseball field.

Post 137 closed out its 2007 season Wednesday night when it played at Scotland County.
