Supplemental champs

The Whiteville Optimist All-Stars defeated Columbus County 8-2 last Wednesday at Evergreen’s Bill Johnson Field to claim the District 2 Dixie Youth Supplemental Baseball Tournament championship. It marked the second straight tournament title for the Whiteville Optimist All-Stars. The tournament was held in conjunction with the District 2 Dixie Youth Major League Tournament, which was won by Columbus County.
