Pridgen signs with Peace
South Columbus High School senior Marci-anna Pridgen signs a national-letter-of-intent to play softball at Peace College during a recent ceremony at SCHS. Pridgen was a two-year starter at catcher for the South Columbus High softball team, which advanced to the fourth round of the state 2A playoffs. Pridgen will join SCHS teammate Courtney Long on the Peach College team. Long signed with the Peach team earlier this spring. Pridgen help pace the Lady Stallions to a 19-7 record, including state playoff wins over East Duplin, South Lenoir and Edenton Holmes. The Lady Stallions bowed to Waccamaw Conference rival South Brunswick 3-2 in the fourth round. Peace College is a member of the USA South (NCAA Division III) Conference.
