The Columbus County Dixie Youth Baseball League will hold its annual post-season tournament Saturday and Sunday at the Cerro Gordo Dixie Youth Complex.

Admission will be $2 for adults and $1 for children of ages 12-and-under.
Saturday’s first-round minor-league games will have Hallsboro going against Cerro Gordo at 2 p.m., and Lake Waccamaw taking on Evergreen at 4.

Saturday’s major-league action will get underway at 6 with Cerro Gordo squaring off against Hallsboro. At 8, Evergreen will clash with Lake Waccamaw.

Sunday’s championship games will have Saturday’s minor-league winners playing at 2 p.m., and Saturday’s major-league winners playing at 4:30.
Between games, the league will announce the results its annual queen contest, and major and minor league queens will be crowned.

The Columbus County Dixie Youth Baseball League was formed in 1971. Its major-league all-star teams have won 14 state championships, and its 1993 all-star squad won the Dixie Youth World Series championship.
