Three softball players, two baseball players and one tennis player from West Columbus High School are among the 2007 All-Southeastern 1A-2A Conference selections in spring sports.
West Columbus softball players selected include Caroline Newman, Jessica Ransom and Samantha Blackwell. Coach Cindy Faulk’s Lady Viking softball team finished in a tie for runnerup in the conference standings.

WCHS baseball players selected are Stephen Nealy and Cory Duncan. Coach Ricky Young’s WCHS baseball squad finished in a tie for third place in the conference race.

Mario Cisneros, who advanced to state 1A tournament play, is among top selections on the all-conference tennis team. Jeff Kinlaw is WCHS tennis coach.

WCHS honorable mentions in softball include Patrice Jenkins, Brooke Cartrette and Bobbi Nealy. WCHS honorable mentions in baseball are Timothy Brown and Bradley Cutrell. Ben Worthington was named honorable mention in tennis.
