West Brunswick trips Stallions 12-2

SHALLOTTE - The West Brunswick Trojans pounded out 10 hits and got a strong pitching outing by Ethan Cox Tuesday in a 12-2 season-opening baseball victory over the visiting South Columbus Stallions.

The game was halted in the fifth inning by the 10-run rule.

West Brunswick held a 5-0 lead after two innings and brought home seven runs in the fourth and fifth innings.

Zach Spivey, Pat Kamfolt and Josh Hatcher had doubles for WBHS while Evan Ponds hit a triple.

Bryant Edwards knocked a triple for South Columbus and Buster James hit a double.
South Columbus will entertain Fairmont today at 5 p.m.
