FAYETTEVILLE - The Waccamaw Academy baseball team put its season record at 2-4 Tuesday by defeating host Northwood Temple 7-5.

Jimmy Davis was the winning pitcher for the Warriors after relieving Jason Taylor the third inning.

Aaron Howd hit two doubles and Davis drove a two-run double. Kyle Hufham added two hits.

Coach Winfred Johnson’s Warriors will return to Fayetteville today to play Trinity at 4 p.m. On Saturday at 11:30 a.m., the Warriors will go against West Columbus at Coastal Federal Field in Myrtle Beach, S.C.
