Clementine Martin knocks a grand-slam home run and Kimberly Edge gets three hits in at-bats for the West Columbus Lady Vikings as they clinch the Waccamaw 2A Conference softball championship with a 12-6 victory over the South Robeson Lady Mustangs. Melissa Hardin is the wining pitcher for West Columbus, which wraps us regular-season play the following day with an 8-6 victory over Fairmont.
In other Waccamaw Conference games, Tonya Jones,LaShanta Godfrey and Angela Slater each get two hits in leading Whiteville to a 7-6 win over East Bladne.
