The two-hit pitching of lefthander Derrick Hooks and a bases-loaded triple by Josh Carroll helps lift the Waccamaw Academy baseball team to a 4-2 victory over Rocky Mount’s Faith Christian Academy for the NCISAA state 1A baseball championship at Wilson’s Fleming Stadium. The win gives Coach Robbie Allen’s Warriors a 22-7 season record as well as Allen’s seventh state championship at Waccamaw Academy.
