SCHS netters fall to Tarboro in second round of playoffs

 

TARBORO - The South Columbus High School girls tennis team fell to host Tarboro Tuesday 6-0 in the second round of the state 2A dual team playoffs.

“We went up against a very experienced team today,” said SCHS coach Nathan Faulk. “I’m very proud of our girls. They have come a long way this season.”

South Columbus closed its season with a 13-5 record, including a tie for runnerup in the Waccamaw Conference.

In the opening round of the playoffs, South Columbus knocked off Waccamaw Conference champion South Brunswick 6-3.
