Reunion golf tourney set
for 1970 WCHS state champs

A reunion and golf tournament, honoring members of West Columbus High School’s 1970 state 2A baseball championship team, will be held Friday, Dec. 7, at Land-O-Lakes.

George McRae, who coached the 1970 WCHS state champion and is now athletic director of North Carolina Boys and Girls Homes at Lake Waccamaw, is chief organizer of the event.

Entry fee will be $60 per player. Proceeds from the tournament will go to the athletic departments at West Columbus High School and Boys and Girls Home.
