Bladen County’s 13th highway fatality of 2007 took place Saturday at 10:30 p.m. when a 15-year-old boy was struck and killed by a vehicle north of Clarkton, according to a Highway Patrol report.

Stephen Ryan Hyatt died after being hit near his home on Mitchell Ford Road by a vehicle driven by John C. White IV, also of Mitchell Ford Road, Clarkton, according to Trooper Matt Hardee. (See Obituary Page)
