Wanted: garbage |
|
• Whiteville Litter Sweep effort started Saturday. By JEFFERSON WEAVER Whiteville residents can get rid of furniture, tires, and other large garbage for free through May 4. City manager Joshua Ray said this is a chance for residents to “spruce up a bit more than usual.” “We’d like to have some more organizations and businesses involved,” Ray said. “We already have a number of commitments, but if it’s just one or two people that want to lend a hand, they’re welcome to help out.” For more information about participating in this year’s Litter Sweep, contact the Whiteville City Hall at 642-8046.
