The Waccamaw Academy Warriors continued to dominate area private school baseball action with lop-sided wins over Northwood Temple Academy of Fayetteville and Flora Macdonald Academy of Red Springs.
Coach Winfred Johnson’s Warriors now have a 12-3 record, including wins in their last six outings.
They are currently ranked second among NCISAA 1A teams behind Lawrence Academy.
On Thursday in Fayetteville, Jimmie Davis pitched a one-hitter and hit his eighth home run of the season in an 11-1 victory over Northwood Temple.
The game was halted after six innings by the 10-run rule.
Grayson Graham and Ty Freeman each had three hits with Graham hitting two triples. Dustin Norris had two hits, including a double, and J.K. Sealey and Austin Storms each had a double.
Davis struck out 11 batters in six innings.
On Friday at Waccamaw Academy, the Warriors shut out Flora Macdonald 12-0 on the two-hit pitching of Lane Green.
Green recorded 10 strikeouts in the game that was halted in the fifth inning by the 10-run rule.
Grayson Graham had two doubles while J.K. Sealey led off the game for the Warriors with a triple.
Green and Dustin Norris each had a double for Waccamaw Academy, which took control early with eight runs in the first innng.
Waccamaw Academy will go against Trinity Christian today at 4 p.m. in a conference make-up game, and the Warriors will travel to Wilson Tuesday for a 4 p.m., game with Kerr-Vance Academy at Fleming Stadium.
