Lady Pack gets soccer win

Sabra Jessup scored two goals and Sarah Gore tallied one Monday as the Whiteville High School girls soccer team defeated visiting West Bladen 3-1 in a Waccamaw/Southeastern Conference soccer match.

Gore also had two assists for the Lady Wolfpack.

Whiteville, which has clinched the conference runner-up spot, played host to Pender Wednesday (see result in A-section) and will close out its regular-season schedule next week with a Monday road game at East Bladen, and Wednesday and Thursday home games with Trask and Waccamaw Academy respectively.

With its runner-up finish in the conference, the Lady Wolfpack will have a first-round home game in the upcoming state 2A playoffs.
