Clinton to speak in Whiteville
at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday
President Bill Clinton is coming to Whiteville on Wednesday, April 30. He will attend a "Solutions for America" event at 5:30 p.m. at the Vineland Station Depot community center in downtown Whiteville. The center is at the intersection of Madison and Main streets.
Whiteville will be his last stop in a series of "Solutions" events Wednesday in Apex, Sanford, Lillington, Dunn, Hope Mills, and Lumberton. He will spend Tuesday attending similar events in Boone, North Wilkesboro, Elkin and Mt. Airy.

The Hilary Clinton campaign announced Sunday, April 27 that President Bill Clinton will return to Whiteville on Wednesday, April 30.
Clinton is scheduled to visit the Whiteville One Stop, early voting site at the Columbus County Board of Elections to draw attention to early voting in North Carolina, Danny Rotert, regional communications coordinator for Hillary Clinton for President said Sunday.
This morning, Clinton campaign officials were not sure what time the former president will arrive.
Clinton became the first president to ever visit Whiteville. Addressing a crowd of more than 5,000 who had gathered at the Vineland Station Depot, Clinton discussed bridging the digital divide and bringing broadband to rural North Carolina.
Clinton will visit Boone, Wilkesboro, Elkin and Mt. Airy on Tuesday, and Apex, Sanford, Lillington, Dunn, Hope Mills, Lumberton and Whiteville on Wednesday. All events are free and open to the public, according to a press release.
