West Bladen sweeps Viking squads

DUBLIN - Matt McCall’s 31 points were a big factor Tuesday night as the Southeastern Conference-leading West Bladen Knights rallied in the second half to defeat West Columbus Vikings 76-55 in a boys basketball game.

West Bladen holds a 7-1 record in the conference and is 17-2 overall.

West Columbus is now 5-3 in the conference with two of those losses coming against West Bladen. The Viking season record now stands at 11-6.

Wayne McDonald added 10 points for West Bladen, which trailed at halftime 30-24.
Chris Stephens scored 13 points for West Columbus before fouling out.

West Bladen won the girls game 43-25 behind Kendra Hall’s 11 points.

West Columbus will travel to play Red Springs on Friday.
