SNELLVILLE, Ga. -- Lillian R. Parker, 78, formerly of Hallsboro, died Wednesday, April 30, 2008, at Embracing Hospice Care.
Arrangements will be announced by Peoples Funeral Home of Whiteville.

CERRO GORDO -- Gladys Miles, 93, died Thursday, May 1, 2008, at Premier Living at Lake Waccamaw.

BOBBY LINWOOD DAVIS
TABOR CITY -- Bobby Linwood Davis, 64, died Thursday, May 1, 2008, at Duke Medical Center in Durham. He was born in Bladen County, the son of the late Milton and Pauline Davis.
Davis retired after 37 years working with International Paper.
Final rites will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, May 3, at Old Zion Wesleyan Church with Rev. Billy Roy officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery in Tabor City. Inman Funeral Home of Tabor City is handling the arrangements.
He is survived by his wife, Winona C. Davis of Tabor City; two sons, Robert Davis and Delbert Baysden, both of Bladenboro; a daughter, Bobbi Lyn Davis of Supply; a stepson, Johnathan Hayes of Lexington; a stepdaughter, Joanna Kinlaw of Tabor City; two brothers, Curtis Davis and Hubert Davis, both of Bladenboro; two sisters, Annie Pearl Guy of Raeford, and Willa Jean Spencer of Lancaster, S.C.; and eight grandchildren.
The family will receive friends Saturday, May 3 from 1-2 p.m. at the church.
HOWARD POWELL
WHITEVILLE -- Howard Powell, 70, died Wednesday, April 30, 2008, at Columbus Regional Healthcare.
Final rites will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, May 5, at Mill Branch Missionary Baptist Church with Rev. James Smith. Burial will be in the Whiteville Memorial Cemetery. Peoples Funeral Home of Whiteville is handling the arrangements.
He is survived by his wife, Grace D. Powell; a daughter, Sheryl Yvonne Clark of Philadelphia, Pa.; a son, Joseph Powell of Philadelphia, Pa.; six sisters, Pearl Butts and Clarice Graham of East Arcadia, Frances Powell, Kate Cobb, Mary Baker of Clarkton, and Betty Powell of Philadelphia, Pa.
Viewing will be at the fuenral home on Monday, May 5 from 9 a.m. until noon.
EMERY HEATH
HALLSBORO -- Emery Heath, 79, died Wednesday, April 30, 2008, at Columbus Regional Healthcare. He was a United States Army veteran.
Final rites will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, May 4, at Mt. Hebron AME Zion Church with Rev. Maria Lacewell officiating. Burial will be in the Hallsboro Memorial Park. Peoples Funeral Home of Whiteville is handling the arrangements.
He is survived by his wife, Elizabeth Heath of Bolton; a sister, Ola Pierce of Hallsboro.
Viewing will be at the funeral home on Saturday, May 3 from 1-8 p.m. Viewing will e at the church Sunday one hour prior to the service, and there will be no viewing after the service.
Friends may visit the family at the home of Ola Pierce, 500 Red Bug Road, Hallsboro.
