Bicentennial logo offered to public The News Reporter, with the talents of staff writer and photographer Fuller Royal, has developed a bicentennial logo that the newspaper is using throughout Columbus County’s 200th birthday – 2008. This logo, featured here, is available free of charge for use by individuals, civic and church groups, businesses, town and county government branches to download from our Whiteville.com website. As the year progresses, Royal will develop more sizes and examples of the additional logos, and these will be posted to the website. “We hope many groups, individuals, towns and even the branches of Columbus County’s government will use the logo with our blessing,” said James C. High, general manager of The News Reporter. “This is obviously a significant year for Columbus County, and this newspaper will continue to publish items of interest for the County of Columbus and her people,” High added.
